Tylenol and Motrin Dosing

DISCLAIMER:  If you are unsure if you should give medication to your child, please contact  your local pharmacy. *If your child is under 3 months old and has a temperature of 100.4°F or higher, go to the EMERGENCY ROOM, do NOT give medication*

 

Infant/Children’s Tylenol (Acetaminophen), 160mg/5mL

​

6 to 11 lbs- use 1.25 mL every 4 hours 
12 to 17 lbs- use 2.5 mL every 4 hours 
18 to 23 lbs- use 3.75 mL every 4 hours 
24 to 32 lbs- use 5 mL every 4 hours 
33 to 35 lbs- use 6.25 mL every 4 hours 
36 to 44 lbs- use 7.5 mL every 4 hours 
45 to 48 lbs- use 8.75 mL every 4 hours 
49 to 59 lbs- use 10 mL every 4 hours

Infant Motrin (Ibuprofen), 50 mg/1.25 mL 

​

*Do NOT use this product under 6 months of age*

*MUST use dosing syringe provided in the bottle to measure*

​

12 to 17 lbs, use 1.25 mL every 6-8 hours 
18 to 22 lbs, use 1.875 mL every 6-8 hours  

After 22 lbs, can use Children’s Motrin (Ibuprofen)

23 to 28 lbs, use 5 mL every 6-8 hours 
29 to 33 lbs, use 6.25 mL every 6-8 hours 
34 to 38 lbs, use 7.5 mL every 6-8 hours 
39 to 44 lbs, use 8.75 mL every 6-8 hours 
45 to 54 lbs, use 10 mL every 6-8 hours 
55 lbs or more, consider chewable Motrin tablets and follow instructions on box
